The Blue Mountains Organic Community Gardens is an essential resource for many community groups in the Blue Mountains.

The Fruit and Nut Tree network, Blue Mountains Multicultural Playgroup, Theatre of Living Light, Aboriginal Cultural Resource Centre, Permaculture Blue Mountains, Blue Mountains Neighbourhood Centres, Slow Food, the Blue Mountains Food Co-op & Greening Australia to name but a few. Check out this entertaining report of some of our activities from 2009/10 activities (its a 25Mb PDF download) or ask for a hard copy in the tea shed at the Gardens, and peruse over cup of refreshing tea. We’re delighted to continue to make a significant contribution to whole of catchment management and sustainability education alongside Blue Mountains City Council’s Geoffrey Smith, Jasmine Payget and Simone Gabriel (education), and Trish Kidd (landcare), Eric Mahoney and the BushDoctors  who work alongside volunteers restoring the creek.

Our Community Gardens Supporters

Through our outreach programmes we are available to work with schools and community groups up and down the mountain. With the help of our inspiring friends at Permaculture Blue Mountains, great community garden deals from Diggers, and generous support of local partners Slow Food Blue Mountains, Bushcare/Landcare, Blue Mountains Food Co-op and of course the continued support of the Blue Mountains City Council.
